For those players of Order and Chaos that got into the game in the first week, the time to pay to renew your subscription is here. While the cost is low (£0.69 a month, £1.49 for three months or £1.99 for six months) it does make you reflect on where you are with the game, and where you want to be in the future. Since the game has started there has only been one update of any significance. This update brought about some much-needed changes – crafting skill switches, server transfer, portal in Greenmont, more repeatable quests for dry quest areas – but lacked in additional content or pvp that people were clamoring for. We do know we are getting a larger update soon (in the next month) that will give as our first dungeon, but is it enough to keep people paying that fee? Does the announcement of Order and Chaos for Facebook make you feel more or less confident about the future of Order & Chaos?
Personally, my feeling is that Gameloft needs to decide if Order and Chaos Online is a subscription MMO with downloadable content packs (expansion packs) like World of Warcraft, or if it is going to be a free to play mmo where you buy additional perks (teleporting, pets, etc). Trying to have it both ways seems to just annoy people.
