Steve Jobs Biography Secret-Steve Jobs a Legend in Technology World

Steve Jobs Biography is now available for sale on amazon. Last year the legendary person in technology world (Steve Jobs) agreed for Biography with Times Magazine's Managing Editor Walter Isaacson, who is the author of best selling biographies of Albert Einstein and Ben Franklin. The reason behind agreeing to biography was quite surprising because he wanted his children to know why he was not with them always. He revealed this to Walter Isaacson his biography author 4 weeks ago at his home in Palo Alto, California when the author has appointment with Jobs.
"I wasn’t always there for them, and I wanted them to know why and to understand what I did" as Jobs said to Walter Isaacson in last appointment

It is also said that Jobs knew 1 week before that he is going to die. Walter Isaacson revealed that Jobs was suffering from pain and was in downstairs bedroom as he was too weak to climb stairs, when the author last visited him. Jobs was the biggest contributer in Apple's success and when ever we hear or talk about Apple gadgets the first person comes in our mind is Steve Jobs and always will be.

Hats off to his contribution towards technology world, May his soul Rest In Peace.

The book is available for preorder on amazon as it will be released on October 24 2011. The release date was early 2012 and the title “iSteve The Book of Jobs” but in September the title was changed to “Steve Jobs” and the publication date was March 6, 2012 and then in August it was said that the release date was preponed to November 21st but now the book will be published on 24 th of October and is avalable for preorder on amazon.

Steve Jobs obituary

SteveJobs has died at the age of 56. Jobs was the charismatic mastermindbehind Apple. With his leadership, the company went from a startup inhis parents' garage to the highest-valued company in the world, introducing the idea that technology can be an object of desire.
@techradar - RIP Steve Jobs - You made the world a more interesting place. A leading light in technology has been extinguished
Jobs'career began when he dropped out of Reed College on Oregon after ayear, choosing instead to drop in on other classes at the campus. Onewas calligraphy. "It was beautiful, historical, artisticallysubtle in a way that science can't capture, and I found itfascinating,"
Adecade later that course influenced his work on the Macintosh, whichintroduced beautiful typography to a computer for the first time."And since Windows just copied the Mac," he laterexplained, "it's likely that [without this] no personal computerwould have them."
@simonwaltonYou don't have to be an Apple fan to appreciate just how much Jobs shaped our world. What a genius he was.
Jobs'intuition for balancing technology and art would become thecornerstone of Apple's game plan, but his business savvy and salesability would also pave his way to a rare fortune.

Oneexample was in 1975. A 20-year-old Jobs was working for Atari, building a reputation for getting things done.
@stephenfryWoke to the news of Steve Jobs's death. He changed the world. I knew him a little and admired him entirely. Love to Apple and his family.
Bossesoffered Steve a huge bonus if he could improve their flagship arcadegame, Breakout.Jobs turned to his geeky friend Steve 'Woz' Wozniak, offering halfthe $700 fee if he could complete it in four days.
Applebegan one year later, when Jobs found Woz building his own computer. He saw potential in the relatively small prototype, and suggestedthey go into business -- Woz as product designer, Jobs as salesman.
Everythingwas perfect; they were young, talented and living in Silicon Valleyat just the right time. Computers were set to become the mostprofitable industry in the world. After one year they brought theirflagship computer to market: the Apple II. It made them rich.
@xeonwalesMac changed computers. iPod changed music. iPhone changed mobile phones. Pixar changed movies . Jobs changed the world. #RIPSteveJobs
"Fromalmost the beginning at Apple we were, for some incredibly luckyreason, fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time,"he told the Smithsonian. "The contributions we tried to makeembodied values not only of technical excellence and innovation --which I think we did our share of -- but innovation of a morehumanistic kind."
Jobsbecame a superstar in the 80s, but with the growing pressure ofrunning a global business, he needed help. He turned to Pepsi bossJohn Sculley in 1983, famously asking, "Do you want to sellsugar water for the rest of your life, or do you want to come with meand change the world?"
@VINNYGUADAGNINOEverybody put an iPhone up in the air one time #ripstevejobs
Sculleyaccepted, but the relationship soured. Jobs was fired.
Beingkicked out of the company he founded and lived for most of his adultlife left him devastated.
ButJobs later admitted it was the best thing that ever happened to him.The weight of Apple's vast success had begun to starve hiscreativity, and being fired let him appreciate being a beginneragain.
Duringthis time he founded Pixar, which made the first ever computeranimated film, ToyStory -- a genuine classic. When Disney bought thecompany for $7.4bn in 2006, Jobs became Disney's largest singleshareholder.
Atthe same time, Jobs also ventured back into computing with a newcompany, NeXT. It built an operating system and Jobs later sold it tohis old friends at Apple, who renamed it OS X.
@TNADixieSaddened to hear about the passing of Steve Jobs. A true visionary and leader. It's amazing how one person's ideas truly changed our lives.
ButApple had begun to flounder without its original visionary, and Jobsreturned to lead it in 1997.
Fromthat point on, every leading Apple product was given at least onekiller feature to separate it from the copycat industry that wouldsurround it.
Thefirst iMac was a stylish jab at the beige computers of the day, witha striking range of colours. Jony Ive's refreshing design became athing of mainstream technology lust -- you didn't need to be a geekto love computers any more.
Thenthe iPod and iTunes brought about a revolution in the music industry. In fact, it was so much more than just music -- it opened the door todigital products being a normal thing to buy.
TheiPhone would be Apple's greatest coup. It brought touchscreen phonesto the mainstream and Apple became a leading player in the mobilephone industry, out of nowhere. Suddenly, Apple could do anything.

TheiPad could be the culmination of Jobs' genius. The product had beenplanned for decades: thisconcept video isfrom 1987. It shows how Apple wanted to produce a tablet with whatwould become FaceTime and Siri two decades ago, predicting it wouldbe available in September 2011.
"Mymodel for business is The Beatles," Jobssaid in 2003."There were four guys who kept each others', kind of, negativetendencies in check. They balanced each other, and the total wasgreater than the sum of the parts. And that's how I see business. Youknow, great things in business are never done by one person. They'redone by a team of people."
Awayfrom his work, Jobs was a family man, married in 1991 to LaurenePowell. After stepping down from Apple after his third medical leavein August this year, with TimCook takinghis seat as CEO, a neighbour described his son's high schoolgraduation.
"ThereSteve stood, tears streaming down his cheeks, his smile wide andproud, as his son received his diploma and walked on into his ownbright future, leaving behind a good man and a good father who can besure of the rightness of this, perhaps his most important legacy ofall."
Jobs'greatest words could be from that Stanford University speech he madein 2005.
"Sometimeslife hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith... Your workis going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to betruly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the onlyway to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found ityet, keep looking. Don't settle.
"Aswith all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And,like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as theyears roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.
"Stayhungry. Stay foolish."

Order & Chaos Online

After buying this game, I really, really thought it was worth my time & effort to write a little review. The game has only been out for a few days, so this is by no means a complete review.

Enjoy :)

Order & Chaos is a MMORPG for most iOS devices.

The game is made by Gameloft they are pretty much known for taking popular console or PC games and making a similar game for your mobile device.  There are allot of people that complain about this.  But I for one am happy they do this because you get very ambitious games like this.  Also they do a pretty decent job at it.  This game will be mainly compared to a little game you may have heard of called World of Warcraft.

Order & Chaos Online is £3.99 in the App Store.  This comes with 3 months of online subscription.  As far as I can tell you can keep on playing even if you do not pay the monthly fee - you just get limited access to in-game content. After the 3 months you will need to pay monthly at 59p, 3 months at £1.19, or 6 months for £1.79.  I don't feel this price is to much if they are able to keep people interested and able to provide new content.

The game contains 4 races Human, Elf, Orc, Undead.  You can then choose between male or female.  Then you can choose your class Warrior (good we weapons and armor), Mage (powerful spell caster), Monk (important healing skills), Ranger (good a ranged weapons). When you get to customizing it seems a little limited.  So not sure how many configurations of characters you are going to see out there.

The controls are fairly standard for this kind of 3rd person view you have.  The left side virtual thumb stick controls your characters movement.  You can swipe just about anywhere else to look around.  On the right you have your options for attacks and spells and jumping.

Menus are pretty straight forward.  You can look at your Bag it contains your items.  Under Character you see what clothing, armor, weapons you have equipped.  Quest is where you can select or view and drop quests you have accepted.  Spells is where you can change the spells you are using also under Talents you can upgrade your talent tree.  I have not gotten much into the Social or Team options but will try them out soon.

Graphics on this game are very good.  This could easily be one of the best looking games on the iOS platform at the moment, and shows the iPhone / iPad can compete with the DS & PSP. Although the screen looks a bit cramped on the iPhone version, it still looks amazing.

I don't have allot to talk about game play other then it seem to be pretty standard getting a quest and doing what you need to finish it.  I am hoping there is some good variety in the quests.  I really don't want it to be come a grind fest. The game is also missing a few key items that I hope Gameloft will bring soon. There are no Dungeons, no real raids & no Mounts. None of there are missed at the moment, but when players start hitting the level cap (I believe it's 50 right now), these thing will be essential to the games survival.

I believe this is a game that will keep me playing for some time. It wont make me leave Final Fantasy XIV or Rift, but I think this it's a game I can pickup and play when there is nothing on the TV, or when i'm in work :). This could really be World Of Warcraft mobile. After I get some more time into this game I will post a full review.

MiPad

Yep...... I got it.....

I may have said to people in the past that I wouldn't get one, but on Friday, T-Mobile delivered me my iPad. And i'm well happy with it.

When the iPad was 1st announced, I - like most of the world - saw it as nothing more than a oversized iPod/iPhone. 6 months later, and over 2million sold, I finally got my hands on one.

Here is my justification for getting one....

T-Mobile UK are now offering the iPad for £199 on a 2 year £25 per month contract. Over 2 years (plus the upfront cost), the iPad will cost £799. This is the 16Gb Wi-Fi & 3G model that Apple sell for £529 Sim free. Now, with Apple's iPad deal, you get no Sim card & no Data allowance. With T-Mobile, I get 2Gb of data per month included. Now, if i were to get a Mobile Broadband Sim card to use in the iPad (Sim from T-Mobile), the Data would cost £15 per month. Times that by 24 & you get £360. Add that to the upfront cost (£529) & it costs £889 over 2 years.....

Ok, hope that made more sense to you than me!! Here is a simpler breakdown:

T-Mobile UK iPad deal:

  • £199 upfront cost for the iPad
  • £25 per month for 2 years
  • 2Gb of data to use per month
  • Total cost over 24 months = £799
Sim free iPad deal:

  • £529 upfront cost for the iPad
  • £15 per month (30 day contract)
  • 3Gb of data to use per month
  • Total cost for month 1 = £544.
  • Cost after month 2 = £559
  • Cost if used for 24 months = £889

So the T-Mobile offer is'nt really that bad when you think about it!

Ok, so a full review of the iPad is coming soon (prob on wednesday now), so check out my Blog soon!

Windows Phone 7

So, today in work, we were treated to a visit from Samsung & Microsoft, who were keen to show off there latest products, the Samsung Omnia 7 & Windows Phone 7.

Representing Microsoft was a friend of mine, Alex. I met Alex a few years ago when i started to use the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 mobile. I was (and still am) working in tech support for a mobile operator, he was working for Danger, the company who owned the Sidekick...... but i digress, back on topic.

I got a chance to play with Windows Phone 7, and must say - even as an Apple fanboi - it was quite good. I mean, not iPhone good (of corse), but it was very good. Here are some of the highlights.

  • One home screen. Endless 'Tiles'
  • Integrated Facebook, Twitter & Contacts, in one 'Hub'
  • Ultra (and i really mean) Ultra responsive.
  • No lag. I really mean it, there was 0 lag moving from app to app.
  • MS Office - Slideshow's look amazing on this thing!! (Apple, take note)
  • Zune Music - Unlimited music for £8.99 a month
  • The big one...... XBOX LIVE!!!
Yep, Microsoft finally pulled there fingers out & added Xbox Live support to the phone. It allows you to get achievements for games & sync with the Xbox. It looked freaking sweet. I mean. Fucking amazing!

You can ask anyone who knows me, and they will tell you how much I hate Micro$haft. I hate there PC Operating system and I hate Windows Mobile 6.5 an below, but even I am drawn to Windows Phone 7. This is what happens when MS have there back to the wall. When they are the underdogs. Windows Phone 7 is what they come up with, and for the 2nd time, I may find myself liking a MS product.

Micro$oft, I am hooked on my Xbox. I love the 360. And I think Windows Phone 7 could be loved. You may win me over yet....

My top 5 Mobile Operating Systems:

1) Apple iOS
2) HP/Palm WebOS
3) Microsoft Windows Phone 7
4) Google Android
5) RIM Blackberry OS
